Overview of User Roles

ScoreFlippers uses a role-based permission system to make sure the right people have access to the right tools. There are seven roles in total.



Role Details

Club Manager

The Club Manager has full access to everything in ScoreFlippers. This includes account settings, billing, all platform features, and the ability to add or remove any user at any level.

Can do:

  • Everything an Admin can do, plus manage billing and account settings

  • Add, edit, or remove any user, including other Admins

  • Access all meets, classes, and athlete data across the organization

There is typically one Owner per account.


Meet Director

The Meet Director role is scoped to meet management. This role is ideal for staff who run specific competitions but do not need access to broader admin functions.

Can do:

  • Edit and configure meets and sessions they have beeb assigned to

  • Monitor live scoring during a meet

  • Correct or review submitted scores

  • Generate awards reports and export results

Cannot do:

  • Access class management or billing

  • Add or remove users at the Admin level


Coach

The Coach role is a read-focused role for coaching staff.

Can do:

  • View athlete profiles and performance data

  • Access meet results and scoring history for their athletes

Cannot do:

  • Enter scores or make changes to meet settings

  • Access registration or billing information



Viewer

The Viewer role is the most limited role. It is appropriate for parents, volunteers, or observers who need basic access to results.

Can do:

  • View public meet results and scores

Cannot do:

  • Access athlete profiles (unless pay for SuperFan), class information, or administrative settings
